I always had a little dream with a perfect picture in my head- sunset horse riding on a beach. And had to wait for almost 26 years to make this come true. While looking for  ferry tickets to Koh Rong, spotted a poster for horse riding in one of the travel agents. Emailed the Liberty Ranch and next day I’m on a horse, watching the sun go down in the sea. As easy as it is! It cost $25/hour, which is a bit expensive but it’s the only place that does it. You can choose either seaside or forest/nature. Worth mentioning, it is hard to find! Only one sign coming along from Sihanoukville. And if using moto, make sure they drop you at the doorstep, as they all say yes yes I know and end up either letting you out at Otres beach, which is another 1.5km away, or wondering around the streets for ages. Also, if taking moto, don’t pay more then $3, and if tuk tuk $4.

My opinion about this great experience sums up in a few sentences.

It’s 15 years since the last time I was on a horse and they just put me on and let go on my own without explaining how to actually manage the horse. Also, there was some distraction on the way to the beach, such as road works and dogs. Horses were afraid of both and almost dropped me. Again, I wasn’t explained how to deal with a horse and just by matter of luck Giedre shouted pull it hard. Guide, who was in front unfortunately didn’t, as he couldn’t speak English…

Last paragraph sounds quite negative but overall experience was great because as soon as we reached the beach it was perfect!
